Google Breakfast Briefings have been run by Google in Dublin for the past two years. Due to the success of the Google Breakfast Briefings series in 2014 and 2015, Google will be running another year long series in 2016.

What are the Google Breakfast Briefings?

They are 90 minute breakfast events hosted in the Foundry at the Google European Headquarters on Barrow Street in Dublin. As well as being networking opportunities, the events provide insight into the current digital landscape, future digital trends, showcase Google products and provide high level training on how specific Google products and platforms can help businesses succeed online.

Who delivers the Google Breakfast Briefings?

They are delivered by Google specialists and topics covered include Google AdWords, Analytics, Search, YouTube, Mobile, Website Usability to name a few.

Who should attend the Google Breakfast Briefings?

Anyone who wants to learn more about how to do business successfully online. The sessions will 1) provide insight into the digital landscape and digital marketing best practices and 2 ) provide training on existing and new Google product features.

In 2014 and 2015 the topics were targeted at a ‘beginner level’ or ‘new to digital’ audience. As a result of attendee feedback, the 2016 series will have 2 streams – a series of events for beginners and a series of events for an intermediate audience.

When are the Google Breakfast Briefings?

The first and last Friday of every month. Events targeted at beginners will be hosted on the first Friday of each month and the intermediate level series on the last Friday of each month.

Are the Google Breakfast Briefings any good?

I’ve only been to one event so far. I attended the first event of the year last Friday the 26th of February. The subject was Mobile Website Usability targeted at an intermediate audience. I was very impressed with the content. Shane Cassells, a performance specialist at Google, gave the audience a great overview of types of mobile sites, best practices for mobile sites and how to measure mobile site performance. He used real life examples to showcase what has worked and what has not worked for businesses to date.

As I’ve only attended one event so far it is hard for me to state categorically that all the events are great. However judging by the attendance on Friday and given that Google are expanding the number of events this year, I think it is fair to say that the Google Breakfast briefings have been well received.

How do I sign up to the Google Breakfast Briefings?
